Foods for Balancing Our Hormones
Balancing your hormones with the help of food is a huge topic being researched by scientists, doctors, and nutritionists.
One thing they all agree on is that following a diet rich in vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants is absolutely key to slowing and reversing the aging process, and thus balancing and regulating your hormones.
Research has showed that just eating three portions of fruits and vegetables a day not only makes you look prettier, but helps to keep your hormones more balanced.
Plant-based foods such as fruits and vegetables are full of nutrients that aren’t just minerals and vitamins. They include things that give them their color and taste. They are powerful antioxidants, which protect our DNA, turn off inflammation, and keep our immune systems firing as though you were years younger.
Some scientists believe that if you cut out three servings of refined carbs and replaced them with fruit, vegetables, nuts, and beans, you could cut diet-related diseases by half.
So, add these superfoods to your shopping list:
- Spinach, kale, broccoli
- Turkey (organic if possible)
- Red & yellow peppers
- Olives & olive oil
- Raspberries, blueberries, pomegranate, blackberries

- Green tea
- Oily cold-water fish, such as salmon, sardines, and mackerel
